New Neighborhoods in North Georgia--Canton, Woodstock & Ball Ground

Despite the housing recession - Cherokee County is alive and well!! New neighborhoods and developments are still being built and still selling. Probably a big part of the success of the new neighborhoods in Canton, Ball Ground, Holly Springs and Woodstock is that the price range for new construction has remained more affordable than other areas of Metro Atlanta. Even with all the news about the housing recession, Cherokee County is still growing steadily. Of course, not at the quick pace it was a few years ago, but it still ranks in the top 20 fastest growing counties. New schools, new neighborhoods, new malls, new roads and new recreational areas are all attracting families, active adults, and singles. The low taxes and the senior property tax discount are also big enticement to many home buyers. If you are interested in new construction many builders have reduced their prices and are offering fantastic incentives to buyers. North GA - Foreclosure & Short Sales Are Everywhere!

Cherokee, Fulton, and Forsyth County have been holding up fairly well during the housing recession this past year-- but now the bottom seems to have fallen out! There are hundreds of foreclosures and short sales - along with corporate relos and estate sales. Enormous discounts in all price ranges can be found everywhere: new construction, established neighborhoods and even resort areas/mountain homes! If you consider this news along with the low interest rates (4.5%) you can see why everyone is saying it is the best buyers market in the Atlanta area ever!
